#24 What Scene Shocked Me the Most?
Mitty’s Transformation – Made in Abyss
Anime is chock-full of shocking scenes. That’s one of the things I love most about it – it’s ability to sucker you in, catch you off guard, and subvert all of your expectations! Griffith’s betrayal in Berserk, that death in Death Note, the moment when we first saw a different side to the girls of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica’s legendary twist, School Days’ gruesome finale… These are but a few of the scenes that come to mind when considering this topic. However, the award for the scene that shocked me the most would have to go to Mitty’s transformation in Made in Abyss. Major spoilers for the show ahead.
