I once wrote that I’d only feel as if I’d made it as a blogger once I’d made myself known enough to be tagged on the regular. So I guess I can call it a day now, because, folks, I’ve made it! This week I was tagged, not just once, but twice, as part of The Real Neat Blog Award. So, yeah, I’ll be seeing you around! Quit while you’re ahead and all that…

I recently published a blog post titled: “Why I Still Love Anime”. During this post I discussed one of the many reasons why, after a whole decade, in which my life has undergone some pretty dramatic changes, I’m still head over heels for anime. As part of an attempt to integrate myself into the aniblogging community and to prompt some positive reflection, I posed this question to my fellow bloggers. I challenged them to consider why they still love anime and continue to commit their time, money, and energy to it, despite all of its shortcomings. Below I attempt to collate my findings.
Hello! Ty, here!
I’ve always enjoyed reading other people’s updates. I love getting to know the person behind the keyboard and getting little insights into their life. As such, I thought I’d give you an update of my own, since a lot has happened since the last one three months ago. This post isn’t anime-related, but if, like me, you’re nosy when it comes to other people, read on!
A big thanks to KimchiSama for tagging me in this! We haven’t known each other for very long, but I’ve loved being able to challenge one another! The aniblogging community is pretty massive, which means that it can be a bit daunting for newcomers like me to put myself out there and get to know other people, but you’ve helped me to feel welcome and included, so thanks!
If you’re new to the one liner challenge, its rules are as follows:
- Accept and thank your challenger(s) by linking back to their post.
- Make a post of one-sentence summaries and/or roasts of at least five books/anime
- No spoilers!
- Link back to The Awkward Book Blogger so she can see your post.
- Challenge as many or as little people as you want!
- Have fun!
Guilty pleasures. We all have them. Things we know are bad, either for our health and wellbeing or in terms of their quality, but we can’t help but love and enjoy regardless. The same is true of anime. We all have shows that we love, despite them being, objectively speaking, kinda pants. I wrote about one such show during a recent blog post (see the link at the bottom of this post). Below are five more of my guilty pleasures or, as I like to call them, the creme de la creme of crap! Warning! If you consider yourself easily offended, I wouldn’t recommend that you continue past this point!
