2019 has been full of exciting developments, many of which I mentioned during another 12 Days of Anime post. Among these exciting developments is the adoption of my husband and I’s very first pet, Fuzz the cat. Fuzz is an extremely vocal, 17 pound Norwegian Forest Cat. His hobbies include: gnawing at our houseplants, waking my husband and I up at four in the morning every morning for his breakfast, and making a nest for himself in the bathtub when he thinks we aren’t looking. If that doesn’t give you enough of an insight into what it’s like to be a pet owner, consider watching winter 2019’s “My Roommate is a Cat”.

2019 has, overall, been a fantastic year for me. I bought my first car, an adorable little Mini Cooper, adopted my first pet, a 17 pound chonker of a cat named Fuzz, and got to visit my friends and family back in the UK. But, best of all, after years of scrimping and saving, my husband and I finally had enough money to put a down payment on a house. That’s right, folks, I’m now one of those boring adults with a house and a cat and a car! Ha, ha, ha! I’m sure you’re now thinking: OK, that’s all well and good, but what does that have to do with anime? Well, aside from meaning that I’m now far too busy working my ass off to pay bills to have the time to watch any, it does mean that I now have the space to house my ever-growing collection of anime merchandise…
One of the highlights of 2019, in terms of Watashi Wa Bucho!!, was getting to blog Fruits Basket (2019) episodically. It was the first time that I had blogged this way since 2012 (feel free to check out my posts on Shin Sekai Yori, if you’re interested.
