#19 What Do I Think Is the Most Epic Scene, Ever?
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Our Heroes Break Free of the Extra-Dimensional Labyrinth & Gurren Lagann’s Final Transformation
Alright, alright, so this isn’t really a single scene! I mean, this particular moment in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann spans two seperate episodes, for one thing… But, like Team Dai Gurren, I’m going to do this my way, because if we’re talking epic-ness, no other scene in anime has this one beat!
So, after just over 7 years, (of which I’ve been following it for just under 3 of those years) Bleach has finally drawn to a close, and in such a spectacularly bad fashion! Actually, it wasn’t awful, it was just really anticlimactic, definitely not the kind of epic finale I’d envisioned when I first started Bleach all them years ago. I definitely consider myself among those fans who think they should have rounded things off after Aizen’s defeat. But, enough of that- I’m sure there’s plenty of bitching about the finale across the net right now so, instead I thought I’d say goodbye to Bleach in my own way: by listing some of the things it did well, the things I’ll miss the most now that it’s over.
I often feel as though I complain so much about bad shows, the good ones hardly get the recognition they deserve so, to make amends, here’s a list of my top 30 shows and why I love them so much! Kudos if you manage to read the entire list, I know it’s long but, it’s incredibly difficult to list the reasons I love a show without rambling!
I first saw this topic raised during du5k’s blog carnival a couple of months ago. At the time I wasn’t a blogger, so didn’t have the delight of taking part and answering the above question myself but, I would now like to take the time to express my own thoughts on the matter- I thought it’d help you readers make sense of some of the choices I have made for my top 30 shows, a list I plan to publish later this week.
